    Hey John,
We talked last Saturday at the Winchendon fair. I just now finished your book “Sin Eater”. I will give it a review on Amazon soon.
I’m trying to come up with something to say other than your book was tremendous. A real description of what goes on in prison. There is so much you wrote about that I can relate to. And even though you changed the name of all your subjects-I did recognize some of them. I particularly related to your memoir of the Mother Teresa episode-I felt exactly the same as you did then. We at MCI-Norfolk were told she was coming and we were warned not to talk to her. It may have been her entourage, but we were informed she was coming to see the inmates. This did not sit well with me-so I took that day off. Funny thing is, my office mate had her picture taken with Mother T and I had to look at that picture on her desk for years.
I did 20 yrs with the DOC as a Correction Counselor, (at Norfolk, Bridgewater, Boot Camp and even a year at Walpole, and also as an officer in minimum security and finally with Victim Services.
Your book should be a movie or at least a weekly tv show.
I am amazed and in awe at your dedication and desire to do the right thing when you were a therapist in the DOC . You were/are special. I’m glad I got a chance to meet you.
